Erg Chebbi (Arabic: عرق الشبي), better known as the Dunes of Merzouga is one of the ergs of the Sahara in Morocco (the other being the erg Chigaga near M'hamid).It is located in Tafilalet, south-eastern Morocco, about 40 km southeast of Erfoud, near Algeria. It is 22 km long and 5 km wide. Dunes can reach 150 meters in height.
The center welcoming tourists is the village of Merzouga, located at the foot of the first dunes. This village is accessible by road and ten hours to link it to Marrakech or Fez.
